How to Remove Leg Warts With…Duct Tape?
Leg warts tend to be widespread on the legs of women than that of men. They are more common in children and adolescents than older people. While surgery is an option for removing warts, they are other ways to do so that do not require a visit to the doctor.
A leg wart is a flat wart that occurs on the legs. Usually a single wart may infect the nearby area causing a number of new growths that may at times amount up to 100 units.
Salicylic acid is an over the counter wart removal medication that’s been used throughout history to treat numerous skin issues. The procedure to treat your leg warts by salicylic acid really should be applied every day and should be applied for several weeks or months. It is as follows:
• Place the salicylic acid on your leg wart
• Protect using a bandage
• Remove the bandage and clean with a sponge the following day
• Wash preferably using an antibacterial liquid or soap
• Dry the wart with a towel
• Repeat the process daily for many weeks until the warts are completely gone.
Duct tape can actually be bought through your local hardware store and applied on your unwanted growths. The process needs to be done on a weekly schedule and is as follows:
• Cover your leg warts using the tape
• After six days remove the tape and use a pumice stone to soak the wart in water
• Dry your growths completely by leaving it without the duct tape or other sort of bandage through the night.
• Cover your growths in the morning and repeat the procedure again for a number of weeks or months until the wart is gone completely
The major advantages of these two types of procedures are that the materials applied are easily found, are inexpensive and may be applied inside the comfort of your home.
On the other hand there are various drawbacks like:
• They require a lot of commitment
• The skin could get irritated
• Some scarring could occur in the treated area.
• It could take several weeks or months to cure your leg warts by these kinds of treatments
• Some leg warts although they may be eradicated, may come back several weeks or months later
While these methods have proven effective, as you have just seen, it is not without drawbacks. If you would like to be rid of your warts or moles without expensive treatments or surgery(or using supplies from the hardware store), then there are options available that are safe, inexpensive, and can restore your skin to the way it used to look. If you want to look in the mirror and say “Warts No More!” then I have some options for you that don’t require such drastic measures as listed above.
